What to do in your free time?

I find it baffling how some entrepreneurs can jump from one idea to another so quickly, yet have nothing concrete materialising from any of them. But recently, I think I might fall under the same category.

The thing about being in full control of your time is that you have to make very conscious decisions on what to do with it. When you are employed, you know that you have to dedicate a certain number of hours or in some cases, certain part of your life, to your job. Running your own show means that every waking minute of your life will be spent on the business, or thinking about the business.

So it’s very easy to be overwhelmed and distracted at the same time. Recently a friend asked me, “what do you do in your free time”… I was about to answer that I have no free time, but that would be a lazy way to explain things.

My answer was, “my free time is spent figuring out what to do with my free time.”

This long weekend, I’ve had the chance to be alone to figure things out. I cleared some work that was backlogged and scheduled for Monday (labour day) and spent some time thinking about stuff.

So here is the decision.

From here on in… it’s gonna focus on ONE thing: NEU ENTITY. This journey has been crazy yet structured, motivating and depressing, exciting and boring, all rolled into one. So with that, I will be using this channel… to capture as much of the journey as possible.

Any side interests, projects… I won’t deny myself time to explore them… but I must not divert from the focus — which is NEU ENTITY.
